The grand uroos festival of Al waliyul kaamil Moulana Meer Ahmed Ibrahim Periya hazrat is to be celebrated this year Insha Allah on 13th of September 2008 (13th night of Ramzan) at kazimar big mosque, Madurai.

All details regrding to Madurai Hazrats have been published then and there in our sites, but any how it will be relevant to give a gist of that.

The birth of Periya Hazrat itself was a miracle. Hazrat’s father Moulana Mir ni’amatullah was not blessed with a child for many years after His marriage. One day His wife had a dream. Sultan Syed Ibrahim Shahid badusha of Erwadi appeared and asked her to come to erwadi for ziyarat with a Niyyat of getting a child. After 3 years thereafter with the dhu’aa of Sulthan Syed Ibrahim shaheed the great Lamp of Islam Moulana meer Ahmedh Ibrahim was born.

Periya Hazrat left His home town for the cause of Education to a madarasa, where He was among the Poor students group.One day his teacher berated him for He being a slow learner and the teacher also ordered Periya Hazrat to leave the Madarasa the next day morning as He is unfit to learn. Hazrat went to sleep very sadly as what He could do going home? without learning and without being educated.

Tonight Hazrat had a dream in which a big group of people were running, when asked as where they all are going? reply came as they all are going to see Rabbul Izzat ALLAH jal….

Hazrat too joined the group and went with them. Atlast, above a small Mountain ALLAH jal..’s Tajalli was visible and everyone present there saw and a voice came to towards periya hazrat as, what he wished was given.

   It was time for Subh prayers when Hazrat woke up from bed. Now Periya hazrat’s professor told Him to leave the madharasa. He also added, “Yesterday i told you to go, because you were unfit to learn, but today i am asking you to leave the madarasa as I am unfit to teach you now.”

 This was the way Periya Hazrat was given Education.

Al waliiyul kaamil Periya Hazrat then came to Madurai, and started a madarasa to teach with what He was blessed. Many great scholars of Islam in tamilnadu were Periya Hazrat’s students and they inturn started great madarassas all over Tamilnadu. Jaimoor a jinn was deployed to serve Madurai Hazrats by Sulaiman Alaihis swalam the messenger of Allah.

When Khalifatul khulafa Abubacker Miskin saahib of kayalpattinam went to Hajj, Ghousuna Al Qutbul ujud Imam fassi Rali.. gave Khilafat to Him and also asked him to give his Khilafat  to Periya Hazrat.

Al waliyyul Kaamil Periya Hazrat after very long discussions and perfect analysis accepted this Tariqullah and became as Khalifatul khulafa of this very precious Tariqa Fassiyatush Shadhiliyya, and spread it across over all parts of Tamilnadu.

Because of His outstanding knowledge and performance in the Islamic laws Hazrath Mir Ahamadh Ibrahim Rahmatullahi alaihi was appointed as the Govt.Chief Kazi of Madurai by the then British govt. in India. He served very well with both Khilafatship and with Kaziship and added Glory to Islam in Madurai and other parts of Tamilnadu.

Periya Hazrat passed away at His age of 63 in the year 1872.

The Younger most daughter of our beloved prophet Moletuna sayyida Fathima az zehara raziyallahu taala anha passed away on 3rd of Ramalan, 6 months after the death of our beloved prophet.

Beebi Fatimatuz zehra was the only alive ward of Hazrat Rasulullah swallallahu alaihi wa swallam, born after Hazrat’s prophecy.

She was the only child alive during our prohet’s wafaat and so Beebee Fatima is the only heir of our prophet and Her sons, Seyyaduna Imam Hasan and Seyyaduna Imam Husain Raliyallahu ta’ala anhuma are the begining of the Lineage of SYEDs all over the world till qiyamah.

Hazrat Rasoolullah swallallaahu alaihi wa sallam has said “Fatima- Bil atum minni. Fatima is a part of mine.”

so whatever stands to the glory of our prophet, a part of it rests with Hazrat Fathima according to the above Hadith.

Prophet has also said as “Fatema- Sayyidat an nisai Ahlil jannah. (My daughter) Fatema is the princess of all ladies in  Heaven (Jannah) ”

The Grand urus of Seyyidatuna fatimatuz zehra for this year is to be celebrated on 3rd September 2008 (3rd Night of Ramzan), at kazimar periya pallivasal, Madurai.

After tarawih, the function starts with Recital of suras followed by Rasulullah sal… Moulid then followed by a byt starting as “Anaz zehra fatimatul batuli” recited by Hazrat Fatima alaihissalam to Al Aarifbillah Syed Adus salam Ibrahim Saalim Hazrat.

Then a byt starting as “Fatihima Ya Fathima Ya Fathima.. Ya noora ainil Mustafa Ya Fatima” composed by Al waliyyul kamil Syed Muhammad Hazrat the then Khalifatush shadhilyya, will be recited.

The function then ends with Du’aa, Jalala and Tabarruk distribution as usual.

Let the Mercy of Khatoone jannat Hazrat fatima zehra al batul and ahlebait be blessed upon all of us for ever.

The urus fatihaa of Syed Mahmoodh Ahmad Ibrahim Contractor Hazrat 3rd son of Al waliyyul Kamil Meer Ahmed Ibrahim Rahmatullahi alaihi (periya hazrat) is to be held on 2nd Night of Ramzan (2nd september 2008) at Kazimar periya pallivasal, Madurai.

Hariri moulid and other moulids of Prophet swallallahu alaihi wa sallam will be recited followed by Du’aa and jalala.

Syed mahmoodh Ahmedh Ibrahim was a Khalifa of our Tariqa, fassiyatush shadhilyya for a very long time and had got a rare oppurtunity of serving our Qutb Seyyaduna ash Sheikh Shamsuddin Makki al fassi Raliyallahu ta’ala anhu during sheikh’s visit to madurai.

The Black marbles laid on the floor of Erwadi Durgah, Ramanatahapuram district was personally laid by Syedh Mahmood Ibrahim @ Contactor Hazrath overcoming lot of difficulties on those days.

Contractor Hazrath has also served as a senior mutawalli of our 700 year old mosque kazimar periya pallivasal and has got back to our management, the Edgah grounds land at Arasaaradi (then called as Pallavarayan thoppu pallivasal) from the Dhula shah and other members of sheriff clan. Still there is a plaque outside our mosque which reads Contractor Hazrat’s name for bringing water facility to the residents of Kazimar street.

Contractor Hazrat has also served as a powerful councillor of Madurai municipality.

Though being Khalifa of Shadhiliya tariqa, Great Muhib of Erwadi durgah Shuhadaas, Mutavalli of our mosque and councillor of Madurai municipality, Syed Mahmud Ahmad Ibrahim was well known as “CONTRACTOR HAZRAT” for he being the official contractor of the  English East India Company’s British Rule in India having built the great monuments of madurai such as Albert Victor Bridge (Called as A.V.Bridge), Victoria Edward hall, Govt.Rajaji Hospitals and Govt. medical college which stands as an evidence of his work for centuries together.

He was Born in 1859 A.D. and passed away in 1941 at his age of 82.

Al Quraan reads as,

“We sent it (Holy Quraan) down during a Blessed Night: for We (ever) wish to warn (against Evil). In the (Night) is made distinct every affair of wisdom.” (44: 3,4)

The Blessed night mentioned herein is the 15th night of the month of sha’ban which is celebrated as Laylat al bara’at (Shab e bara’at) all over the world. Qur’aan was sent down in this night and also Allah ta’ala decides all HIS activities like Birth and Death of people, Rizq to be given and all other matters to be happened in the coming year in this entire universe. Allah also grants Magfirat in this day.

Nafil prayers, Istigfars, Zikrs and other Aamals are to be performed as advised by our Prophet Hazrat Swallallaahu alaihi wa sallam.

The Zikr halqa majlis of fassiyatush Shadhili ya tariqa will be held after maghrib prayers on Sunday 17/08/2008, followed by a special bayan by Khalifa Moulvi A.Syed kaja mueenuddeenB.A., Govt.Kazi of Madurai.

Surah Yaa seen will be recited thrice in which people from qadiriya tariqa and other tariqas also take part in large number.

Then a very antique duaa is recited including Hizbul bahr and Hizbun Nasr the two main Hizbs of Imam Shadhili.

The Majlis then comes to an end with Jalala.

The great uroos festival of Hazrath Sulthan Iskandar Baadhushaah Shaheedh Razi is to be held on 16th Rajab 1429 Hijri that is on 20th of July 2008, followed by the very important Sandal smearing ceremony (Sandanakoodu) on the next day morning after Fajr prayers. The festival started with the Islamic Flag hoisting at the Very top of the hill on 1st day of Rajab.

The very famous Durgah (Shrine) of Hazrat Sulthan Sikandhar Badushah, who came from jeddah, Saudi Arabia during the Mid 9th century is located at the top of the Tirupparankundram hill.

Hazrath sulthan Sikkandhar Badhusha who was the ruler of Jeddah accompanied Hazrat Qutb Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed Badusha of Ervadi during the latter’s visit to India to spread Islam. Sultan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed Badusha captured the Madurai provice the Capital of the Pandiya Kingdom and Bouthiramanickkappattinam province (Now Erwadi Durgah, Ramanathapuram district, Tamilnadu) after a tough fight with the then Pandiya rulers Thiru pandiyan and  Vikkirama Pandiyan respectively.

After taking control over madurai, Hazrath Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed handed over it to Hazrat sulthan Iskandar Badusha and left to Ramnad district.

Later, Hazrath Sulthan Sikandar Baadhushaah was assasinated by Thiruppandiyan while He was in deep prayer at a cave in top of the Thirupparankundram hills. The king and his associates turned blind as they misbehaved with the Holy Corpse of Hazrat Sulthan Sikandhar Badhushah. They realized their mistake and immediately they did Dafan (Buriyal- Funeral) in a very respective manner at the top of the hill and apologized to Hazrat sultan Sikandhar badusha after which they got vision. A big stone flew and stood above the Hazrat’s Qabr Shariff (Rouza-Grave) which is standing still. Both this incidents are sample evidences from Lakhs and Lakhs of Karamats of Hazrat Sikkandar Badhusha,  happening each and every day.

Many great Arabic, Tamil, Urdu and Parsi scholars have written a number of Moulids and Poems praising the karamats of Hazrat Sikandhar Badhusha. 

A qasidah ”Salaami alaa Roohi Iskandhari……” written by Al Arifbillah Syed Abdussalaam Ibrahim Saalim Hazrat Rahmatullahi alaihi, the third in the list of Madurai Hazrats and

A Bait “Alhamdulillah hil mu izzu limai yashaa…..” written by Moulana moulvi Syed Abdussalaam Ibrahim Sahib Hazrat the then Govt. chief Kazi of madurai and Khalifatush shadhili,

are most important and found to be printed in the Erwadi moulid Manaqib published in Erwadi durgah. There are also some books about the History of Hazrath Sulthan Sikkandhar Badushah published by “Ven pura publishers, Madurai“.

Apart fom these, there are lot of M.A., M.Phil., and P.hD., thesis which speaks volumes about Hazrat Sikandar Badushah as a wonderful ruler of  madurai during the 9th century. 

Irrespective of religion people from all parts of Tamil Nadu and from Kerala visit this Durgah and especially people who visit Ervadi Durgah in ramnad district are supposed to visit this durgah. People who come here with a wish, see it answered in a very very short period of time and hence He is also called with a name Mustajab ad Du’aa Sikandhar Badhushah.

The Holy urs festival of Kaziul Islam Muftiyul Anaam Qutbul Aktab Gausul Ahbab Jadde Amjed Hazrat Kazi Syed Tajuddin Raziyallahu ta’ala anhu is to be celebrated on 15th of Rajab 1429 Hijri on 19th of July 2008 at Kazimar periya pallivasal, Madurai,Tamilnadu, south India.

Hazrat Kazi syed Tajuddin came from oman to India during 13th Century to spread Islam along with his Father Mufti Syed  Jamaluddin, who is also called as Syed Jamaluddeen Mufti al Mabari. ”Mabar” an arabic word means for “Bridge“. He was called by this name as he came to Tamilnadu via Kerala which is acts as a bridge between India and the Arab countries through the Arabian ocean.

Kazi Thajuddeen along with his brother Kazi syed Alauddin was spreading Islam in south Tamilnadu, with madurai as His center, and was apponited as Govt.Kazi in the then Govt of Sultan Alauddin Badushah and Sulthan Shamsuddin Badusha of Gorippalayam, Madurai.

He got a land from the then Pandiya ruler Ku pandiyan and  constructed a mosque, which remains still at the centre heart of the city as KAZIMAR PERIYA PALLIVASAL.

The grave of Holy Hazrat Syed Tajuddin was hidden purposely by his own descendants because the kafirs (Non muslims)  started some anti islamic rituals at the Hazrat’s Qabr. His brother Hazrat Kazi syed Alauddin’s grave is found at Kayalpattinam and available for public ziyarat.

 Till today the mosque constructed by the Kazi is being maintained and managed by His male descendants without any damage or loss to its properties. The Nawabs, Nayak kings and several other rulers have given many lands as Inam for the Maintenance of the mosque and for the subsistence of the Mujavirs (Huqdars). Till today the Kazis of madurai to Govt.of Tamilnadu are appointed from Huqdars, male descendants of Kazi Syed Tajuddeen.

                    The Urus celebration is to be presided and led by Haafiz Moulavi Syed Muhammad Mueenuddeen Ibrahim M.A., Faizi Chief Imam and Huqdar of Kazimar Big Mosque in the presence of Haafil Moulvi J.Syed Alimullah Baqavi Imam and Huqdar of Kazimar Big Mosque.

 The function starts with recitation of Quraan Shariff after Asar followed by Moulid sharif, Qatmal Quraan, Duaa, Jalala and distribution of tabarruk after Maghrib.

 Same type of function is to be held seperately at Kazi Tajuddin I.T.I. for women from Asar to Isha.

A fatihaa is conducted in the Name of Hazrat Kazi Syed Thajudhdheen at Edgah grounds masjid, at arasaradi, near Bye pass road, Madurai which also is manged jointly by the Huqdhars, on the same day

The 451st urs of Holy Islamic saint Hazrath Saiyed Abdul qadir Shahul Hameed Qadir Oli Ganjasavoy rali… is to be held on 14th June 2008 at Nagore durgah sharif, Nagappattinam district tamilnadu. Millions of people from all over India are taking part especially people from Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Andrapradesh, and kerala will participate in a very large number.

In the Monthly Baarveen 12th night moulid shariff, which is to be held on 12th Night of jamadil awal, by Shadhiliyyah tariqah iqwan at Kazimar periya pallivasal madurai, The qasidah recited by Qadir oli  Badusha to Al Aarifu billah syed Abdussalam Ibrahim, Saalim Hazrat “Karamatuna tajri alaa kulli aalami“, and a  Qasidah composed by Saalim Hazrat Rahmatullah , which starts as “Shahul Hamidi waseelati wa imaami” and a Qasidah composed by Syed Muhammad hazrat, which starts as “Salla alaa khairin nabi Allahu rabbunal Hamidh” will be recited with a Grand Dhu’aa followed by jalala.

This Litany (Hizb) was written When Shaykh Abu Hassan ali ash Shadhili was fighting against the Crusaders, led by King Louis IX of France.

This Hizb is called as Saif as shadhili (The sword of shadhili)  as its a very sensitive Hizb, which, as per the principles of Shadhiliya Tariqa, cannot be recited without the consent of a Khalifa that too only when there is a threat to the entire Islamic community from Kaafirs (Non muslims).

The Crusaders were trying to invade through the city of Mansura.

Finally with the prayers of Imam Shazuli, Allah (Ta’ala) gave Muslims the victory.

Translated Hizb an Nasr

O Allah,
By the authority of Your Omnipotent Power
And by the speedy help of Your Victory
And by your Wrath at the interdiction
Of Your inviolable protection
To whomever
seeks protection
In Your Signs
We implore You
O Allah, O Allah, O Allah

O Hearer, O Near, O Answerer,
O Expeditious, O Avenger, O Violent Rigour,
O Omnipotent Force, O Vanquisher,
O You who is not weakened by the power of Tyrants
And for whom the destruction of rebellious
kings and czars is no great matter
We ask You to make the snare of he who plots
against us to be the cause of his own
destruction
And the plot of he who plots against us to
rebound upon him
And cause him
Who dug a hole for us
To fall in it
And he sets up for us the net of deception
Make him, O Lord, driven into it
And trapped into it
And a prisoner of it

O Allah, by the Truth of Kaaaf Ha Ya Ayiiin Swaad
Save us from preoccupation with enemies
Perish them and cause them all to pay dearly
And inflict upon them speedy revenge
Today and tomorrow
O Allah, scatter their unity
O Allah, disperse their gathering
O Allah, lessen their numbers
O Allah, blunt their edge
O Allah, encircle them
O Allah, send wrath upon them
O Allah, banish them from the circle of clemency
And deprive them of the reinforcement of respite
And snare their hands and feet
And tie up their hearts
And do not let them attain their goals.

O Allah, rip them all apart to shreds
As you rend Your enemies
To give victory
To Your Prophets
And Your Emissaries
And Your Saints
O Allah, rend us victory
As You rendered victorious

On account of our sins

Hizb is nothing but Litany which is to be recited by shadhili iqwans and other muslims for their well being and other Haajat. They are  series of Quraanic verses  (aayat )and Duaas extracted from Quraan and hadith.

There are millions of Ahle sunnat wa jamaat websites which speaks about the real aqeedah of folllowing of prophet’s sunnah which sheiks of various tariqas have thought us.

In this era Wahhabi, Tablighi, Deobandi, Towhidi, salafi, najati groups are increasing their headcounts gradually and it is the duty of every sunni muslim belonging to Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat to be united to stand against those anti islamic elements.

There is nothing wrong Claiming greatness for sheikhs of their own tariqas, but showing disrespect towards other sheikhs is highly condemnatory. We being true murids of Gausul Akbar Imam Shadhili, and Qutbul ujud Imam Fassi, our ultimate aim is to propagate Aqeeda of Ahlus sunna.

We never disrespect other sheikhs. We also appreciate the work done by brothers in different tariqas either it be Qadiriyya, Naqshbandiya, suhrawardiyya, chistiyya, Rifa iyya who are also striving a lot to spread our aqeeda.

We also need to mention the work done by our brothers of QUTHBIYA MANZIL in Kayalpattanam Tamilnadu who basically belong to Qadiriyyah tariqa and Murids of Darba appa.
